Presentation Evening

If you or your salon wish to enter the competition next year, please call us on 020 8461 3504 and talk to Tracey, our Training Manager and event organiser.

The 7th Shears Academy Annual Presentation & Graduation Evening was held on the moonlit night of 30th October at The Warren In Hayes.

Thanks to all who came to support and cheer their apprentices on - see the Gallery for images, or check us out on facebook: www.facebook.com/ShearsAcademy The night was a celebration of success and achievement; this year's theme followed the Jubilee celebrations and Team GB's Olympic & Paralympic success, paying homage to Best of British!

Apprentices fill the stage to receive their hairdressing and customer service certificates, and were joined by the first Academy barbering and assessor award graduates, above.

"The Academy celebrated a record breaking number of achievers this year, and we are so proud of them all, the whole Academy team have worked hard to incorporate the new qualifications – and they deserve all the success they've achieved!" said Pauline Brooker, the Academy's MD.

The Award winners this year (pictured above) won trophies, certification, stylists' pouches and vouchers.

Amy King, was joint winner with her Model No. 6. Amy was the very first of our barbering achievers recently and entered the competition to promote the new Barbering class at Shears!

The winners were joined on the stage by the runners up – 2nd place went to Lara Dean, 4th from left, with model No. 12, and in 3rd place was Michaela Holliday 2nd from the left with her model, No.4.

And finally, just a last look at last year's winning model ...does anyone recognise Jade? Yes.... Jade Clarke modeled for last year's winner; Danielle, of Go West, Blackheath... and was back on stage this year to recieve the Apprentice of the Year award this year!/p>
